SWAC SAAC Spotlight: Dylan Gladney

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Starting today, the Southwestern Athletic Conference will post spotlight articles about its Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) officers for the 2017-18 academic year.

This week’s spotlight features Prairie View A&M track and field athlete Dylan Gladney. The rising junior will serve as the SAAC’s Division I Representative for the 2017-18 academic year.

The Arlington, Texas native completed a questionnaire during which he discussed his goals and aspirations for his post-undergraduate studies and as one of the leaders of the SWAC SAAC.

Q: What is your major?
A: Finance.

Q: What are your plans after you earn your college degree?
A: After receiving a degree in Finance from PVAMU, I plan to pursue a Masters in Sports Administration from Texas A&M University at College Station.

Q: What qualities do you bring to your role withing SWAC’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee?
A: As an ardent supporter of student-athlete representation and welfare, it will be my honor to serve this conference as the Division 1 SAAC Representative. My combination of interpersonal and intrapersonal skills along with a fervent spirit to lead will give me what I need to be a successful SWAC officer. I appreciate the opportunity and privilege to represent Prairie View A&M University as the Division 1 SWAC Representative.

Q: What has been your favorite part about being a student-athlete at Prairie View A&M and competing in the SWAC?
A: I’ve been fortuned with the opportunity to be a part of a changing athletic culture at PVAMU that promotes innovation, dedication and hard work. Collegiate athletics has given experiences that I never could have imagined and relationships that I’ll never forget. I am forever thankful for the experience.
