Thomas Piper is there to “Supply Life”
The one-man band Thomas Piper titled his latest album Permission To Live after witnessing the audience at one of his shows hesitancy in getting on the dance floor. It seemed like the people were seeking permission from each other to embrace the moment that the music gave them to embrace each other.
Like so many other things, 2020 gave that title a different and more substantive meaning. This is a year when decision of whether to wear a mask in public could give life or death to your neighbors. When a person asks the man or woman standing in line at a store to wear a mask, the person making the request is asking for permission to live.
Piper becomes an encourager on “Supply Life,” his new single that we are featuring in this First Listen. That is a necessary message in today’s world because we are confronted with so many things that seek to kill our spirits, minds and bodies. Piper reminds listeners that life contains so much builds life and those things often get overlooked. Piper delivers that message on a track that mixes a pulsating and insistent dance beat will get that head bobbing and feet moving. Check it out here.
