Charlotte, NC – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) will host its 2022 Bowling Championship in Salem, Virginia from Saturday, March 26 – to Sunday, March 27, 2022. A new host location this year, the event will be held at Lee Hi Lanes.
The opening ceremony will begin at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday. The championship is free and open to the public.
Eight (8) CIAA teams will come together to compete for the 2022 conference championship title. Fayetteville State University (44-4 record in CIAA, 33-3 in Southern Division play) has claimed the No. 1 seed along with the Southern Division Title while five-time defending champion Bowie State University (35-4 in CIAA, 26-1 in Northern Division play) claims the Northern Division Title and enters the bracket at the No. 2 seed.
FSU and BSU will be joined by No. 3 Johnson C. Smith, No. 4 Virginia Union University, No. 5 Livingstone College, No. 6 Elizabeth City State University, No. 7 Shaw University, and No. 8 Virginia State this coming weekend.
