Danny Boy earned his stripes as a performer as part of Suge Night’s empire, working with 2Pac, Twist, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, among others. But he is a soul man at heart, as he shows on his debut full length album, Black Heart.
Working with producer Fred “Toxic” Taylor (Keyshia Cole, CeeLo), Danny Boy has created a 14-song autobiography, chronicling his journey with a focus on the ups and downs of love, and with a sound that should appeal to both soulheads and contemporary R&B fans.
We first fell in love with the old school sound of the hit “This Song,” and now we’re equally digging Danny’s new single, “Crazy.” It’s the story of a man who is filled with regret about the loss of his woman to another man. The song reeks authenticity, and Danny sings the heck out of it.
