BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State women’s bowling team will travel to Fayetteville, N.C. for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) North/South Event III on Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 13 for their final regular-season tournament of the year.

The Bulldogs (35-9) are 25-4 against league opponents this season. Bowie State is coming off a seventh-place finish at the TNBA/HBCU Bowling Invitational after going 8-5 overall in 13 total matches. The Bulldog’s performance was highlighted by a 4-1 stand on the second day of the event, defeating Jackson State (813-781), Grambling (892-611), Morgan State (904-886), and Norfolk State (786-780).
However, BSU’s biggest splash of the invitational was three consecutive wins on day three. Overall, Bowie State held their own with 12 of the 13 matches being against Division I schools.
Following the CIAA Event III tournament, the Bulldogs will look for their sixth-straight CIAA title in the 2022 CIAA Women’s Bowling Championship in Mar. 26-27 in Salem, Va.
The CIAA North/South Event III will take place at the B&B Bowling Lanes, located at 3003 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303.
